ABOUT
We are a collection of people with expertise in different fields of plastics. We can design your product, make a 3D printing for your inspection, research and specify a molding compound, modify to a plastic if needed, prototype your part, build your mold, and manufacture your part.
Thermoplastics and thermosets are both within our capabilities. One of our members set up the first plant wide thermoset recycling operation.
Our forte is extreme uses of plastics. Both thermoplastics, thermosets and composites from either.
- We have created plastics for continuous use at 316⁰C (600⁰F). This part is for a load bearing rack support in a high temperature oven.
- We have created a plastic that is conductive with electrically resistance, trough and surface, of less than 1Ώ. It has been tested in pure Br2 at 40⁰C (104⁰F) for 1000 hours.
- We have created a plastic for bushing seals that does not wear and does not wear the shaft. These parts have been used in pumps operating at above 200⁰C (392⁰F).
- We have developed a plastic for fuel cell barrier plate that will operate at 200⁰C.
WHO WE ARE
Larry Wasowski
Larry has a chemistry degree from Notre Dame and 45 years of experience in taking plastic molecules and nudging or blending them into different compounds. He has created compounds from scratch, but currently we do not have reactors available. He has three patents issued. His work includes both thermoset and thermoplastics. With his expertise we can modify a plastic compound to fit the needs of your part.
Josh Glover
Josh Glover has a degree in Molecular Biology and minor in Chemistry from Appalachian State, with 12 year of experience in injection molding. His expertise includes part design, mold design, mold making, and 3D printing. He has experience from designing the part to sampling the completed part in the mold he has designed. He can design your part, 3D print a replica, design and build a prototype mold, mold a prototype part, build a production and mold production parts.
Randy Lewis
Randy Lewis has a degree in Industrial Engineering from Gaston College and 45 years in the business. His expertise in molding all plastics and the manufacture of Bulk Molding Compound (BMC) combined with Larry’s ability, we can create a molding compound that will meet the most strenuous needs of your molded part. Cycle reduction is also in his ballpark the best accomplished being 69 seconds to 13 second cycle reduction. This is accomplished by optimizing mold, press and auxiliary equipment.
Recycling thermoset plastics is also his forte. He has published several papers and set up five plant wide thermoset recycling operations. Spanish is his second language.
